A new storm system is approaching our coastline possibly hitting the area by Super Bowl weekend. Local meteorologist Jason Farhang has been studying the  weather models; “Latest solutions continues end dry weather by Superbowl 53! Southern CA needs to pay close attention for February 2019. Topanga Road Closure Update

TOPANGA CANYON UPDATED ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CALTRANS REGARDING TCB ROAD CLOSURE: Caltrans is working to clear the roadway at several locations between post mil 0 to 4. Their geologist is working with maintenance and construction engineers to assess the condition of the slopes. Last Thursday, a huge boulder came down the hillside and wiped out a construction trailer and damaged a Caltrans pickup truck. The hillside needs to be carefully assessed to its stability before reopening. There are no plans to blast the hillside with water.
